Marshall Dennehey Launches Rideshare Liability Practice Group

In an effort to keep pace with clients’ litigation needs in the sharing economy space, Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin has launched a new practice group within its Casualty Department: Rideshare Liability.

Led by experienced shareholders, Thomas F. Brown and Patrick M. DeLong, the attorneys in the practice represent some of the nation’s leading ridesharing companies, their independent drivers and insurance carriers. In this capacity, they assist in managing the unique legal issues that often arise with these claims, including insurance coverage, direct and vicarious liability and statutory compliance challenges.

“Ridesharing is ubiquitous and it’s not surprising that we have seen a dramatic increase in the the number of related claims and lawsuits,” said Howard P. Dwoskin, Director of the Casualty Department and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. “There are so many complexities involved, with multiple parties to litigation and the necessity to protect the defendant’s brand, trade secret and proprietary information. Tom, Patrick and our team stand at the forefront of these issues and we are pleased to offer clients the specialized legal resources and knowledge needed to successfully navigate rideshare litigation.”

The attorneys in the Rideshare Liability Practice Group counsel and defend rideshare claims across the firm’s 20 offices. For more information, please visit https://marshalldennehey.com/practice-areas/rideshare-liability.
