Edward A. Yurcon

Senior Counsel

    Ed is a member of the Casualty Department and focuses his practice on defending companies and individuals in a broad range of complex matters, including wrongful death, bodily injury, and catastrophic loss claims arising from gas explosions and fires, industrial accidents, tractor-trailer and automobile collisions, premises liability, defamation, and product liability. He also has significant experience defending surety and fidelity bond claims.

    Known for his tireless work ethic and fierce client advocacy, Ed consistently delivers strong, strategic defense even in the most challenging cases. He is widely respected for his ethical approach, meticulous forensic skills, and unwavering dedication to his clients.

    Ed has been admitted to practice for over 45 years. Prior to entering private practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Allegheny County. Throughout his career, Ed has tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1992 and was elected to the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County in 1994.

    Ed is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

    He earned his juris doctor from Villanova University School of Law and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
