G. Mark Thompson, member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was a featured presenter for the Business Insurance-sponsored webinar, "The Best Offense is a Good Defense: Managing Liability Claims in Today's Litigious Environment." Mr. Thompson and his co-presenter, Glenn Shapiro of Liberty Mutual Insurance, discussed how risk managers and brokers can partner with their insurance carriers to better manage liability claims.

Armand J. Della Porta, Jr., shareholder in the Wilmington office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been appointed Atlantic Regional Director of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the country's leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Mr. Della Porta, who served as the DRI's Delaware State Representative from 2010-13, will begin his three-year term on the organization's Board of Directors in October.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin announced today that Nicholas Chrysanthem has joined the firm's New York City office as a shareholder in the Professional Liability Department. Previously, he was a member in the Manhattan office of McManus & Richter, P.C.

Marshall Dennehey received the "Distinguished Defense Firm Award" at the annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute (PDI) on Thursday, July 16 in Bedford, PA. The inaugural award honors a civil defense firm devoted to professionalism, dedication to the practice of law, promotion of the highest ideals of justice in the community and service to the PDI.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin has added Shareholder Dennis P. Dore, Special Counsel Jessica Lanifero and Associate Christopher D. Walsh in Jacksonville. All three attorneys join the firm’s Casualty Department and were previously with the Jacksonville office of Kelley Kronenberg.

Teresa Ficken Sachs, shareholder and vice chair of Marshall Dennehey's Appellate Advocacy Practice Group, was awarded the William J. O'Brien Distinguished Service Award as "Defense Lawyer of the Year" by the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel (PADC). Ms. Sachs was honored at the organization's annual meeting, held June 2 at the North Hills Country Club in North Hills, PA.
