Marshall Dennehey's Armand Della Porta, Jr. Tapped for DRI Board Position

Armand J. Della Porta, Jr., shareholder in the Wilmington office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, has been appointed Atlantic Regional Director of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the country's leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. Mr. Della Porta, who served as the DRI's Delaware State Representative from 2010-13, will begin his three-year term on the organization's Board of Directors in October.

A member of the firm's Casualty Department, Mr. Della Porta is an accomplished attorney in the realm of asbestos and mass tort litigation, personal injury and construction defect litigation. He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict in the state and federal courts of Delaware and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey in 2005, he was a founding partner of Kelley Jasons McGuire & Spinelli and led its Delaware office for 15 years.

Mr. Della Porta is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University and received his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law. He is a member and a past president of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute as well as the Defense Counsel of Delaware. He is also a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.
