Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, an Am Law 200 law firm and one of Pennsylvania’s largest law firms, is celebrating 60 years in business. Founded in 1962 by Francis E. Marshall, who was later joined by Gerald Dennehey, John R. Warner, Robert J. Coleman and Robert St. Leger Goggin, the firm has grown to become a civil defense litigation powerhouse recognized for the strength of its trial attorneys and litigation bench.

Marshall Dennehey is proud to announce that 80 of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized in the 2023 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch™. Additionally, three of the firm’s attorneys have been selected 2023 “Lawyers of the Year” in their respective practice areas and demographic regions. 

2023 LAWYERS OF THE YEAR

Marshall Dennehey is gratified to have earned a coveted spot in the BTI Associate Satisfaction A-Listers 2022: BTI Survey of Law Firms Where Associates are Happiest. This first-of-its-kind report, based on a large-scale independent survey with more than 4,000 responses, pinpoints and interprets what associates want and value.

Among the report’s findings, a large number of women associates named Marshall Dennehey distinguished in activities associates value most in deriving high levels of job satisfaction at law firms.

Sandy Caiazzo, former Regional Office Manager at Marshall Dennehey, has been promoted to Director of Administrative Services at the Am Law 200 law firm. In this role, Sandy will oversee all administrative personnel and operations encompassing the firm’s 19 offices across 7 states. 

For the 10th consecutive year, Marshall Dennehey has been selected one of the Philadelphia region's "Best Places to Work" by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The award recognizes the company's achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of benefits, working conditions and company culture.

Stuart H. Sostmann, shareholder in Marshall Dennehey’s Pittsburgh office and co-chair of the firm’s Construction Injury Litigation Practice Group, was elected President of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute (PDI) at the organization’s recent annual conference. Comprised of lawyers, corporate representatives and insurance professionals from across the Commonwealth, PDI provides education and networking opportunities for those who defend civil damages suits and administer claims.
