Marshall Dennehey is honored to accept the External Law Firm Partner of the Year Award from Liberty Mutual Insurance. The award is bestowed upon law firms Liberty Mutual considers to have consistently delivered pragmatic legal solutions in defending and advancing the interests of their customers, policy holders and the company itself.

Alesia S. Sulock, shareholder in the firm's Philadelphia office, was appointed to the Professional Liability Defense Federation (PLDF) board of directors at the organization’s annual meeting, held September 18 in Las Vegas. PLDF board directors serve three-year terms.

Jeffrey G. Rapattoni, Shareholder and Assistant Director of the Casualty Department at Marshall Dennehey, has been chosen to serve as Counsel to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU). The position became effective on August 27, 2025.  

Marshall Dennehey has once again been recognized as a leader in client service, earning a spot on BTI Consulting’s Client Service A-Team 2025, which honors law firms delivering the highest levels of service to corporate clients. The firm also attained A-Team status in 2024. 

Marshall Dennehey announced that it has added the majority of the talent and existing business of Pittsburgh-based civil defense litigation firm Walsh Barnes, P.C. The move brings seven attorneys, including former Walsh Barnes named partner Adam M. Barnes and two other shareholders, to Marshall Dennehey's Pittsburgh office. Paul J. Walsh, III, founder and managing partner of Walsh Barnes, is stepping away from active litigation after 35 years and will devote his full attention to mediation. Walsh Barnes will be closing as of July 31, 2025.
