Oner J. Kiziltan

Associate

    Oner is an associate in the firm’s Casualty Department where he litigates a variety of complex matters involving catastrophic loss, wrongful death, product liability, negligent security, premises liability, rideshare cases, as well as special investigations and fraud. Oner has litigated cases throughout the state of Florida and routinely argues complex motions while ensuring that his clients are provided with exceptional representation. As a value to his clients, he regularly conducts and defends depositions, conducts examinations under oath on a variety of issues including fraud and misrepresentation, drafts and argues complex motions, and assists his clients in navigating the discovery process.

    Prior to joining the firm, Oner began his legal career as a judicial intern in the 17th Judicial Circuit where he was exposed to a wide variety of cases. During law school, he clerked at a foreclosure defense firm at which he he worked on lawsuits involving the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) as well as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). After graduating law school, Oner joined one of Florida’s most successful personal injury protection (PIP) litigation firms where he acquired a vast understanding of the litigation process.  Following his time on the plaintiff side of the law, Oner then switched gears and joined one of Florida’s most successful insurance defense firms where he litigated an extensive case load and conducted fraud investigations. 

    Oner earned his bachelor’s degree in history at Florida Atlantic University where he graduated with departmental honors and served as both Vice President and President of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society. He then attended law school at the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law where he earned his juris doctorate degree. He is a member of the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division as well as the Broward County Bar Association. During his free time, Oner enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with his wife and three dogs Chase, Gilly and Yoshi.
