Jesse W. McCarthy

Associate

    Jesse is an associate in the Health Care Department, where he represents physicians, physician assistants, hospitals, dentists and other health care providers in general and professional liability matters. In addition to medical and dental malpractice claims, Jesse's practice also includes product liability, construction and other large-scale personal injury claims.  

    Jesse was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, attending nearby Lower Merion High School. While an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, Jesse focused his studies on health care economics. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Jesse worked for a large health insurance company in Philadelphia.

    While in law school, Jesse excelled in a litigation-based curriculum. He served as a staff editor for the Temple Law Review, and devoted a second year to work on the Law Review's editorial board. Jesse completed a summer judicial internship with the Honorable Thomas P. Rogers of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. He also completed internships during the school year with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and the City of Philadelphia Law Department, Tort Litigation Unit.

    Jesse joined Marshall Dennehey as a summer law clerk in 2020, and continued with the firm throughout his third year of law school. Outside of work, Jesse enjoys watching football, walking his rescue dog and trying out new restaurants in the Philadelphia area.
