James S. Davis

Associate

    James is a member of the Casualty Department with a focus on automobile negligence, premises liability, and general liability matters. He brings diverse experience litigating a wide variety of matters in the Central Florida area. James has successfully litigated both criminal and civil matters at trial.

    Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, James was an Assistant State Attorney for the State Attorney's Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit. His trial acumen allowed him to progress quickly to handle matters ranging from misdemeanor crimes to first degree felonies during his tenure. James further broadened his trial experience during his time at a plaintiff's firm advocating on behalf of his clients in automobile and premises liability matters. James will bring this experience and perspective to zealously advocate on behalf of his clients.

    James earned his juris doctor at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida where he graduated cum laude and held board positions with multiple legal organizations. 

    James has a passion for mentorship and community involvement. He is actively involved in the Orange County Bar Association hosting legal organization events in Orlando since 2020. He is a mentor for law students attending Barry University School of Law and has been a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida since 2018.

    Before law school, James began his career working in sales and marketing for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Orlando City Soccer Club where he developed the drive he has to advocate for his clients. 

    Outside of the practice of law, James enjoys music, art, sports, and being a quality friend, family member, and mentor.
