Overview
Hunter is an associate in the firm’s Casualty Department, where he focuses his practice on the defense of complex product liability, fire loss, and subrogation matters. He represents a wide range of local, national, and international manufacturers and distributors, including those involved in tools, electrical components, paint, automatic doors, construction equipment, heavy machinery, and industrial systems.
With over 15 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter, Hunter brings firsthand knowledge of fire science and NFPA codes, offering a unique advantage in fire loss litigation—both in the courtroom and on-site at the fire scene. Known for his collaborative approach, Hunter takes time to understand his clients and their products, building long-term partnerships that extend beyond litigation.
Before joining the firm, Hunter practiced at a boutique insurance coverage firm in Philadelphia and a mid-sized civil litigation firm where he handled construction defect and complex personal injury cases.
Hunter earned his J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he was a standout member of the nationally ranked Trial Team. He was a National Champion at the National Board of Trial Advocacy’s Tournament of Champions, a Regional Champion and National Quarterfinalist at the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and a finalist at the University of Denver’s Summit Cup. For his exceptional performance, he received the Kline Award for Outstanding Advocacy, as well as CALI Awards in Land Use Law and Advanced Trial Advocacy: Civil.
Hunter holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.
Since 2009, he has served as a volunteer firefighter with the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore in Lower Merion Township. He was elected to the company’s Board of Directors in 2019 and currently chairs its Bylaw Committee.
