Attorney obtained a defense verdict following a jury trial in a wrongful death case involving a negligence claim against the driver of a truck from which plaintiff's decedent voluntarily exited while it was moving. The attorney represented the owner of the vehicle on a negligent entrustment claim. At the time the vehicle was entrusted, the driver had a suspended operator's license and a significant prior history of reckless driving. The jury deliberated 1 1/2 hours before returning verdicts in favor of both defendants.
