John J. Hare and Teresa Ficken Sachs, Co-Chairs of the Appellate Advocacy and Post-Trial Practice Group at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, have been selected 2019 "Influencers of Law" in the area of business litigation by The Philadelphia Inquirer. The awards program recognizes attorneys who have raised the bar through outstanding leadership and counsel, and whose contributions have helped to shape, change and transform the legal industry in Pennsylvania. Mr. Hare and Ms.

Ashley S. Talley, associate in the Workers' Compensation Department at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was awarded a Westfield Insurance Company 'Golden Gavel' for outstanding legal representation on behalf of the insurer in a complex workers' compensation case.

The Golden Gavel Award is a formal recognition program designed by Westfield Insurance to recognize outstanding achievement by its outside counsel. Nominations for award winners are completed by Westfield claims professionals and submitted to its legal unit for consideration.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin has expanded its Pittsburgh Health Care Department with the addition of  new shareholder, Kristin L. Pieseski.

Ms. Pieseski focuses her practice on the defense of medical and dental malpractice matters. Throughout her career, she has represented the interests of physicians, hospitals, nurses, home health agencies and other health care providers in professional liability litigation, licensure matters and staff privileges disputes in Western and Central Pennsylvania.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin is pleased to announce that 13 associates and two special counsel have been elevated to shareholder. Additionally, the firm has promoted four associates to the position of special counsel. These new shareholders and special counsel represent the firm's four core departments – casualty, professional liability, health care and workers' compensation – and come from 11 of the firm's 20 regional offices.

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin has joined the  membership of the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud. The Coalition is a national alliance of insurers, government agencies and consumer organizations dedicated to combating all forms of insurance fraud through advocacy, public education and research.

James P. Hanratty has been inducted into the membership of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Membership is by invitation-only, and is reserved for trial lawyers who meet certain qualifications and have significant experience in leading civil jury trials to verdict.
