Sarah B. Cole Elected to Membership in The American Board of Trial Advocates

Sarah B. Cole, Shareholder and Managing Attorney of Marshall Dennehey’s Wilmington office, has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Membership is invitation-only and is reserved for trial lawyers who meet certain qualifications and have significant experience in leading civil jury trials to verdict.

Cole, who is also a member of Marshall Dennehey’s Board of Directors, joined the firm in 2014 and was named Managing Attorney of the Wilmington Office in 2023. In addition to her office management responsibilities, she maintains an active practice within the firm’s Casualty Department, and oversees all casualty litigation within the office. With a primary focus on general commercial liability, premises liability and residential group home liability, she has defended hundreds of clients in personal injury litigation in the Delaware courts, with many cases tried successfully to verdict. She additionally devotes a portion of her practice to insurance coverage and fraud matters, as well as property damage litigation.

Cole is recognized by the Best Lawyers in America® organization in the area of Insurance Litigation, and she was selected as a 2024 Top Lawyer in Tort Law by Delaware Today magazine. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received her juris doctorate from the University of Maryland. She is admitted to practice in Delaware.
