Jeffrey G. Rapattoni Named Counsel to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Special Investigation Units
Jeffrey G. Rapattoni, Shareholder and Assistant Director of the Casualty Department at Marshall Dennehey, has been chosen to serve as Counsel to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU). The position became effective on August 27, 2025.
“I have worked alongside IASIU members for many years and I am truly honored to contribute to its mission in this new role,” Rapattoni said. “Insurance fraud affects all of us—driving up premiums for honest policyholders and businesses alike. I look forward to working with all my IASIU colleagues in our shared commitment to protecting the industry from the impacts of insurance fraud.”
Founded in 1984 by insurance fraud investigators, IASIU is the largest global organization for insurance investigators, boasting over 4,000 members across 42 chapters in Europe, the United States, Australia, Asia, Canada, and Latin America. Its mission is to advance excellence in fighting insurance fraud by connecting the insurance, investigatory and legal communities through education, awareness, and networking.
Rapattoni, who also serves on Marshall Dennehey’s Board of Directors, joined Marshall Dennehey in 2008 and helped to build, and then lead, the firm’s Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Litigation, and Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Groups. He has more than 25 years of experience litigating insurance fraud and fraud-related matters on a national level, and often acts as coordinating counsel to insurance companies, helping clients develop strategies for defending complex litigation related to staged and intentional losses, medical provider fraud, PIP and other emerging insurance issues.
Among his numerous professional associations, he currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee with the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud and is also active with many other local and national organizations including the National Insurance Crime Bureau, New Jersey Special Investigators Association and CLM. Through the years he has been the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his insurance fraud investigation and litigation efforts.
Rapattoni graduated from Villanova University and received his law degree from Rutgers Law School-Camden. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Michigan.
