Blake J. Hood Appointed Co-Chair of Jacksonville Bar Association Committee

Marshall Dennehey is pleased to announce that Blake J. Hood, a shareholder in the Jacksonville office, has been appointed co-chair of the Social Security and Workers’ Compensation Law Committee of the Jacksonville Bar Association for the 2025-2026 Bar year. In this role, Hood will play a key role in shaping the committee’s goals and priorities for the year as well as planning and executing programming.

Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation by The Florida Bar, Hood has more than 20 years of experience defending employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in claims and appeals under the Florida Workers’ Compensation Act. His practice also extends to cases involving the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

In addition to his involvement in the Jacksonville Bar Association, Hood serves as a Barrister of the E. Robert Williams Inn of Court. A graduate of Emory University and the Florida State University College of Law, he is admitted to practice law in both Florida and North Carolina.
