Maria F. Pero

Associate

    Maria is an associate in the Casualty Department. She focuses her practice in the area of first party insurance defense representing insurance companies in matters concerning personal injury protection (PIP) litigation, SIU, bodily injury, and general liability. Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Maria represented various insurance carriers in first party insurance matters.

    Maria received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida International University in 2014. She then went on to earn her juris doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2017. While in law school, Maria received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Procedure Investigation and achieved Dean’s List Honors every semester. Additionally, she served as the treasurer for International Law Student Association, and was a member of both the Federalist Society and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

    Maria also served as a judicial intern for a judge in the civil division of the 11th Judicial Circuit, where she assisted with court proceedings, wrote memoranda, and performed research on various civil litigation issues.
