Adriana C. DiMatteis

Associate

    Adriana is a member of the Health Care Department, concentrating her practice on the defense of health care providers and institutions in medical malpractice liability matters.

    Adriana is experienced in drafting discovery responses and requests in federal and state courts, and participating in depositions, hearings and mediations for medical malpractice litigation. During an internship with a regional health system, Adriana worked closely with the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel. Her responsibilities included creating and implementing a record retention policy for the Pathology Department and aiding counsel during medical malpractice litigations through research, department communications and document drafting.

    Originally from Weirton, West Virginia, Adriana graduated cum laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. She earned her juris doctorate from West Virginia University College of Law in 2023. During law school, Adriana earned the Order of Barristers distinction, participated in the Litigation & Advocacy Clinic, and served as the President of the Health Law Society.

    Outside of work, Adriana enjoys fitness and spending time with loved ones and her dog, Nellie.
