Obtained summary judgment in a public entity and civil rights case filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Represented an attorney (who served as plaintiff’s counsel in the underlying bitterly contested divorce action) in a case involving alleged violations of civil rights and allegations of conspiracy among our client and other defendants to deprive the plaintiff from fair access to the judicial system in addressing an underlying domestic relations matter.  The plaintiff alleged that the defendants conspired to intimidate witnesses and coerce judicial officials so as to delay the plaintiff's domestic relations actions, thereby costing the plaintiff in excess of $1 million in fees and loss of marital assets.  In the end, in addressing our summary judgment motion, the court stated, "Like every saga, this one must come to an end. ... While the court understands plaintiff's frustration at the failure of his marriage and the lengthy process to determine property rights and custody rights of the parties, plaintiff's disappointment with the various decisions made in this county's Court of Common Pleas is not the stuff of which a federal lawsuit is made."
