Attorneys won summary judgment on all claims against a security company that employed a security guard in a public school. The security guard began a romantic and sexual relationship with a fourteen year old female student, culminating in the girl secretly living with him from 1996 to 2006. After her public reappearance, the young woman sued the security company in federal court, alleging federal constitutional claims and state negligence claims. The federal court granted summary judgment for all represented Defendants on all claims based solely on this attorney's statute of limitations argument. The federal court also dismissed all federal claims against the unrepresented security guard (now incarcerated) based on the attorney's argument that the security guard did not act under color of state law.
