Attorneys obtained a favorable outcome in the Appellate Division wherein it handed down a decision in which it unanimously reversed a state Supreme Court ruling and vacated a stay of arbitration of disputes between a domestic based scrap metal supplier and an international consignee. The Court held that the supplier's claims for indemnity for the vessel's detention at the discharge port in Turkey and stevedore damage during unloading of the scrap were subject to AAA arbitration in the state under the scrap purchase agreement.
