Attorneys obtained a defense verdict after a four-day jury trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Plaintiffs filed suit against an Ohio University claiming the school negligently led a college tour through a hazardous parking lot, causing Plaintiff to slip and fall. Plaintiff sustained a serious brachial plexus injury of the right arm. Plaintiff claimed the complete loss of use of her dominant arm and hand. Despite the fact that the Court did not instruct the jury on contributory negligence, the jury returned a defense verdict in less than forty minutes.
