Marshall Dennehey Attorneys Set to Speak at Professional Liability Underwriting Society Annual Conference

Jonathan E. Kanov and Claudia A. Costa, professional liability attorneys at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, will be featured presenters at the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) 2015 Annual Conference, to be held November 11-13 in Dallas, Texas. 

Mr. Kanov and fellow panelists will present “2015 Real Estate E & O Trends- Are We Out of the Woods Yet?" The panel will discuss the reemergence of many carriers into real estate related professional liability involving agents, title agents, mortgage brokers, appraisers, surveyors and other related professionals. The session will also cover emerging trends in real estate E & O litigation and regulatory trends, and insights on the future of business in this arena. Mr. Kanov is a shareholder in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office and focuses his practice in the areas of complex, high-exposure litigation. He has litigated a wide array of professional liability and commercial cases in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration forums, throughout the country.

Ms. Costa and a panel of claims managers will present, "Not So Harmless Non-Profits," which will address the liability risks facing officers and directors of nonprofit organizations. The panel will discuss Title IX considerations and increasing employment and other lawsuits being brought against non-profit schools, homeowners' associations and health care organizations. She is Special Counsel in Marshall Dennehey's Roseland, NJ office and represents private and publicly held corporations and non-profits in all aspects of employment-related matters. She also defends lawyers, accountants, and insurance brokers/agents in malpractice suits, and represents municipalities and townships in civil rights and municipal liability claims.
