Legal Update for Special Education Law – Updates from Office of Dispute Resolution

The Office of Dispute Resolution has released its Annual Report for fiscal year 2023. It notes that the Office has experienced a rise in rates of mediation; that the number of IEPs facilitated by the Office more than doubled during the reporting period, from 68 to 144; and that Due Process complaints dropped to 958 from 1064 in FY 2021.
