Marshall Dennehey Announces 2019 Shareholder Class and Special Counsel Promotions

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin is pleased to announce that 13 associates and two special counsel have been elevated to shareholder. Additionally, the firm has promoted four associates to the position of special counsel. These new shareholders and special counsel represent the firm's four core departments – casualty, professional liability, health care and workers' compensation – and come from 11 of the firm's 20 regional offices. 

In Philadelphia, the new shareholders are:

Mohamed N. Bakry, shareholder in the firm's Casualty Department. Mohamed focuses his practice on the defense of wrongful death cases within the areas of product liability, premises liability, and transportation. In this capacity, he defends manufacturers, property owners, retailers, and product suppliers against claims alleging assault and battery, defects on the premises, acts of negligent third parties, improper maintenance of the premises, negligent service, design defects, failure to warn, and breach of warranty. He also represents clients facing misdemeanor and felony criminal charges. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and earned his J.D. from the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Nicholas D. Bowers, shareholder in the Casualty Department. He concentrates his practice on product liability, construction injury and dram shop cases as well as premises and auto liability matters. He also has significant experience in the area of insurance fraud/SIU litigation, and has handled litigation involving the investigation of opioid providers and pain management facilities. He is a graduate of Loyola College and the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Raphael M. Duran, shareholder in the Workers' Compensation Department. Raphael focuses his practice exclusively on workers' compensation litigation. He has represented some of the largest employers in the Philadelphia area, including those in the retail, construction, transportation, health care and food processing industries. He also has extensive experience working with self-insured and high retention clients. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Drexel University Kline School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Sang Woo Lee, shareholder in the firm's Casualty Department. He handles a variety of complex cases involving personal injury defense, premises liability, construction accidents and construction defect matters, retail liability, product liability, motor and commercial  vehicle accidents and property damage issues. He litigates these matters in both the state and federal courts. Sang is a graduate of Yale University and the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Daniel H. Tran, shareholder in the firm's Health Care Department. Daniel focuses his practice on complex and catastrophic medical malpractice litigation and related appellate advocacy and post-trial litigation.  He has significant experience with successfully representing nationally recognized health care systems and health care providers in multi-million dollar, high-stakes litigation.  He litigates in both federal and state courts.  A graduate of Miami University (Oxford), he received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law where he served on the editorial board of two journals.  He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

In Scranton, Pennsylvania, the new shareholder is:

Sarah E. Argo, shareholder in the Casualty Department. Sarah concentrates her practice on matters involving premises liability, trucking and motor vehicle liability, municipal liability, UM/UIM claims, insurance bad faith and dram shop claims. She also has experience handling claims stemming from natural gas drilling and product liability. She is a graduate of Kings College and the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the new shareholder is:

Allison L. Krupp, shareholder in the firm's Professional Liability Department. Allison concentrates her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She represents national/global insurance carriers in insurance coverage disputes and first-party automotive and property damage claims brought against them. Allison is experienced in many types of coverage issues, including policy cancellation, policy reformation, stacking, phantom vehicle cases, and a variety of policy exclusions. She also defends clients in the area of bad faith litigation and practices regularly in state and federal court. A graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, she received her J.D. from the Widener University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

In Mount Laurel, New Jersey, the new shareholder is:

Ashley L. Toth, shareholder in the Professional Liability Department. Ashley focuses her practice on employment law and civil rights law. She practices in New Jersey's federal and state courts, handling a wide range of employment cases dealing with discrimination including NJLAD, Title VII and NJCRA, whistle-blowing (CEPA), retaliation, harassment and more. Ashley is a graduate of Monmouth University and earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In Roseland, New Jersey, the new shareholders are:

Ryan Thomas Gannon, shareholder in the Health Care Department. Ryan focuses his practice on medical malpractice, dental malpractice and nursing home malpractice. Ryan has also represented nurses in NJ Board of Nursing matters and dentists in NJ Dental Board matters. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Seton Hall University School of Law. Ryan is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Timothy J. Jaeger (formerly special counsel), shareholder in the firm's Casualty Department. Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, with over thirty years of litigation experience, Tim focuses his practice in the defense of cases in the areas of automobile, trucking, personal injury, premises liability, product liability, UM/UIM, construction site accidents and construction defect litigation.  He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Villanova University School of Law, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey.

In Wilmington, Delaware, the new shareholder is:

Sarah B. Cole, shareholder in the Casualty Department. Sarah focuses her practice in the areas of general commercial liability, premises liability, personal injury, and fraud/SIU litigation. She also defends clients in insurance coverage disputes and property damage litigation. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and the University of Maryland School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Delaware.

In Cleveland, Ohio, the new shareholder is:

Jason P. Ferrante, shareholder in the Health Care Department. Jason focuses his practice on medical malpractice defense and routinely represents hospitals, physicians and nursing home/extended care facilities in all manner of health care liability matters. Jason is additionally  experienced in product liability, travel law, creditors' rights, and workers' compensation litigation, and he has argued before numerous appellate courts throughout Ohio. Jason is a graduate of Ohio University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and Kentucky.

In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the new shareholder is:

Patrick M. Delong (formerly special counsel), shareholder in the Casualty Department. Patrick represents clients and their insurers in high-exposure automobile negligence, uninsured motorist, premises liability, commercial general liability and construction site accident cases involving allegations of wrongful death and catastrophic injuries in both Florida and federal courts. He additionally is experienced in construction defect and creditors' rights litigation. Patrick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Notre Dame Law School. He is admitted to practice in Florida.

In Orlando, Florida, the new shareholders are:

Andrea Diederich, shareholder in the Health Care Department. Andrea focuses her practice on the defense of matters involving medical malpractice, premises liability and the Americans With Disabilities Act. She represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, therapists and assisted living facilities in health care liability matters. She is a graduate of Rollins College and Florida A&M University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida.

Chanel A. Mosley, shareholder in the Health Care Department. Chanel represents hospitals, physicians, long-term care facilities, and other health care providers against claims involving medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and other health care matters. She also handles a variety of premises and general liability claims. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Chanel earned her law degree from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.

The firm's new special counsel are:

Adam Levy, special counsel in the Professional Liability Department in the firm's Mount Laurel, New Jersey office. Adam concentrates his practice in complex construction defect matters, including the defense of contractors, architects, engineers, surveyors and other professionals. He also defends claims of bodily injury, property damage, delay damages and other claims related to the construction industry. Adam is a graduate of Stockton State College and Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.

Scott A. Ginsberg, special counsel in the Casualty Department in the firm's New York, New York office. Scott focuses his practice on personal injury litigation and is experienced in defending insurance carriers in disputes involving New York Personal Injury Protection claims. He also focuses on fraud investigation, including medical provider fraud and intentional/staged losses. A graduate of the University of Florida, he earned his J.D. at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Karen 'Missy' E. Minehan, special counsel in the Health Care Department in the firm's Harrisburg office. Missy focuses her practice on the defense of professional medical negligence and premises liability claims as well as medical licensing matters before licensing  boards such as the Pennsylvania Boards of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Nursing,  and Psychology. She represents individual physicians, nurses, therapists, and mental health professionals, and acute, long-term care, rehabilitation hospitals, correctional medicine providers, correctional institutions, and outpatient dialysis facilities. Missy is a graduate of Wellesley College, the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (Master's Degree), and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Heather A. Tereshko, special counsel in the Health Care Department in the firm's King of Prussia office. Heather has more than 15 years of experience defending physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and other health care providers, as well as hospitals and major health systems in the Philadelphia area. Her litigation experience includes complex cases involving catastrophic injuries with significant liability and damage exposure. She is a graduate of Temple University and Widener University School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
