Overview
Sean Dolan is Special Counsel and a certified mediator, focusing his practice on automobile liability, premises liability, and construction law. With nearly four decades of experience, he concentrates on trial practice across all Delaware courts, representing insurers and their insureds in complex litigation matters, including appeals before the Delaware Supreme Court.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, Sean has lectured for professional seminars, where he shares insight on a wide range of topics, including automobile accident litigation, the use and evaluation of expert witnesses, damages assessment, insurance coverage issues, coordination of insurance coverages in personal injury cases, construction accidents, and property damage, including subrogation.
Sean previously served as Counsel to the Delaware Claims Association, providing regular updates to insurance professionals and attorneys on statutory, regulatory, and case law developments in Delaware.
A lifelong Delawarean, Sean attended Salesianum High School, the University of Delaware, and Widener University School of Law. Since beginning his practice in 1987, he has built a reputation for his deep knowledge of Delaware law and his practical, results-oriented approach to litigation.
Outside of his legal practice, Sean enjoys cycling and distance running—having completed 26 marathons—playing the guitar and mandolin and reading. He is married and the father of four children.
