Jake Melrose

Associate

    Jake is a member of the Professional Liability Department where he focuses his practice on architectural, engineering and construction defect litigation. His practice includes the representation of owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors and design professionals. He focuses on a variety of construction industry related matters, including but not limited to, construction and design defect matters, breach of contract, indemnity and coverage, and construction code and safety violation claims. 

    Jake received his juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Jake worked as a summer associate with Marshall Dennehey. He also served as an intern for the Honorable Judge Bagge-Hernandez of the 13th Judicial Circuit, was a member of the Stetson Law Review, and served as a student-intern for the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County. 

    Prior to law school, Jake attended the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and was twice recognized as a Dean’s List honoree.

    Jake is admitted to practice in Florida.
