Attorneys obtained a voluntary dismissal of all claims by plaintiff against defendants in a trade secret and theft of confidential information matter. Plaintiff alleged that one of its former employees had provided a competitor with confidential information about the manufacturing of certain types of commercial doors when he went to work for the competitor. Defendants former employer and competitor adamantly denied that any trade secrets or confidential information existed regarding the manufacture of the doors, and, even if such information existed, defendant employee denied ever providing his new employer with any confidential information. After a highly contested discovery period, plaintiff voluntarily dismissed its claim against the former employee outright and dismissed all other claims against the door manufacturer in exchange for a mutual release.
