Tiere J. Phillips

    Tiere is a member of the Health Care Department, and focuses his practice on the defense of health care professionals and institutions in medical malpractice and general liability matters. He joined Marshall Dennehey in June of 2022 as a summer law clerk.

    Tiere earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from The Pennsylvania State University. He also joined the United States Army and served as a Psychological Operations Specialist. Following graduation, Tiere attended law school at Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. During law school, he was a member of the Black Law Students Association and participated in the Re-Entry Legal Services Clinic, a yearlong income-based clinic providing pro bono legal services to the Pittsburgh region to assist those who may have legal barriers due to criminal records.

    Tiere also completed an externship at the Allegheny County Public Defender's office, assisting in trial preparation and defense of clients. In addition, he worked as a legal intern at GNC where he focused on non-disclosure and trademark agreement issues, and as a law clerk for the Honorable Christine Ward in the Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania.

    When he’s not in the office, Tiere enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog, being active through sports or exercising, and watching movies.
