Christopher S. Devlin Joins Marshall Dennehey as Director of Professional Development and Training

Marshall Dennehey announced today that Christopher S. Devlin, Esq. has joined the firm as Director of Professional Development and Training. In this capacity, he will design, implement and oversee the firm’s legal and professional skills training programs, including associate conferences, annual mock trial and summer associate program, and CLE offerings for the firm’s 500 attorneys across 19 offices. Devlin replaces former Director Lawrence J. Schempp who served in the position for 17 years and is retiring in August 2024.

Prior to Liberty, he worked in private practice at two regional law firms, and also served as in-house counsel at Kemper Insurance.

“Chris brings a wealth of knowledge from both the insurance industry side as well as private practice, and we are thrilled to welcome him as an administrative leader of the firm,” said G. Mark Thompson, Marshall Dennehey’s President & CEO. “With his extensive insurance litigation background, he is wonderfully suited to train, educate and mentor our attorneys in all aspects of their professional development.”

Devlin is a graduate of the University of Scranton and earned his J.D. at Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
