Veteran Insurance Coverage Attorney Alexander J. Mueller Joins Marshall Dennehey’s New York City Office as a Shareholder in the Professional Liability Department
Marshall Dennehey announced today that veteran insurance coverage attorney Alexander J. Mueller has joined the firm’s New York City office as a Shareholder in the Professional Liability Department. Previously, Mueller was a longtime partner at Mendes & Mount, LLP in New York.
Mueller joins the firm’s Insurance Services Practice Group with more than 20 years of experience representing domestic and international insurers in insurance coverage matters, including the defense of complex insurance coverage disputes involving pollution and mass torts under commercial general liability policies. He is additionally experienced in negotiating and implementing complex, coverage-in-place agreements following litigation and mediation.
“Alex’s deep bench of insurance coverage experience and his track record handling complex, high‑stakes matters make him an outstanding addition to our New York professional liability practice,” said James H. Cole, Director of Marshall Dennehey’s Professional Liability Department. “His work representing insurers in sophisticated coverage disputes, particularly those involving pollution, mass torts, and specialty policies, strengthens our capabilities in New York and across the firm.”
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Mueller earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.
