Steven A. Johnston

Associate

    Steven defends health care professionals and corporate entities in medical malpractice litigation. He approaches each case with a thoughtful, detail-driven mindset, and a focus on achieving successful resolutions. Steven leverages his strong research, writing, and analytical skills to deliver clear strategies and persuasive advocacy on behalf of his clients.

    Prior to joining the firm, Steven served as a law clerk in a major felonies criminal courtroom in Philadelphia and a dependency/delinquency courtroom in Tucson, Arizona. He was also a summer law clerk in Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania with the Hon. Joel Slomsky. The first several years of his practice were with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) where he authored 675 administrative appellate decisions. While with the VA, Steven helped create and was voted the first president of PrideVA, the Department’s first employee resource group.

    Steven earned his juris doctor from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he participated on the Moot Court team and in the Law and Public Policy Scholars program. He also created a name change clinic for low income transgender individuals.

    Outside of work, Steven enjoys creating stained glass art at a local studio, gardening, and spending time with his two rescue dogs.
