Overview
As a member of the Workers’ Compensation Department, Fanta represents employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in defense of workers’ compensation claims in Pennsylvania.
Fanta graduated from Millersville University where she dual majored in English and Political Science. She participated in AmeriCorps Vista and was the first student Commissioner for the University’s Presidential Commission on Culture and Diversity. As a member of the debate team, Fanta won the Pennsylvania Statewide Championship for the Fredrick Douglass Debate Society.
In the fall of 2016, Fanta was a White House intern working in the Office of the First Lady’s correspondence department. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in the homicide unit where she gained valuable skills and learned from experienced trial attorneys.
Fanta received her juris doctorate from the Delaware Law School. She served as an editor of the Widener Law Review and as a research assistant to the Dean, and competed in the National Trial Competition as a member of the National Trial Team. Fanta also served as the Professional Development Director for the Intellectual Property Law Society. In addition, she completed pro bono service with the DC Tenant Advocate in Washington DC and the Senior Law Center in Philadelphia, was a semi finalist in the National Legal Innovation Tournament working to design innovative software to change the face of dispute resolution, and served as Regional Chair of the National Black Law Students Association for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Fanta worked on complex commercial and corporate litigation at a national firm.
Outside of the office, Fanta enjoys visiting art museums, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
