Overview
Erika Vasant is an attorney practicing product liability and automobile liability defense, with a particular focus on fire-related cases within the manufacturing industry and distribution sectors. She represents manufacturers of a wide range of heavy industrial equipment, including tools, automatic doors, electrical components, and lifts.
Erika’s legal experience spans diverse roles in both judicial and private practice settings. Prior to starting as an associate at Marshall Dennehey, she served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where she managed civil and criminal dockets, drafted orders and opinions, and conducted in-depth legal research to support judicial decision-making.
Additionally, she gained experience as a summer law clerk at a defense litigation law firm, handling education, employment, construction, cannabis, and healthcare law, and contributed to several legal blogs. She also served as a law clerk at employment and civil law firm, focusing on COVID-19 policies, and as a Judicial Intern with a federal judge at the U.S. District Court.
A graduate of Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey, Erika held leadership positions as President of the South Asian Law Students Association and served as Notes & Comments Editor for the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. She earned her B.B.A. in Marketing with minors in Advertising and Business Law from the University of Miami, where she was actively involved in Model United Nations and the U-Miami Raas Dance Team.
Erika is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, and Urdu, she enjoys a range of interests outside the law, including CrossFit, cooking, baking, dog training, hiking, and reading fiction.
