On the Pulse…Our Orlando, Florida Office
Sitting in the heart of Central Florida, Orlando is a growing and vibrant metropolitan area known as “The City Beautiful.” With its combination of year-round sunny weather and theme parks, it attracts over 100 million visitors each year, making it the top travel destination in the country. Apart from visitors, it is also one of the fasting growing cities in the U.S. for permanent residents due to its business, cultural and educational environment, as well as its lack of a state income tax. The population for the Greater Orlando metropolitan area now stands at over 2.5 million, making it the 6th largest in the Southeast U.S. It’s home to three major theme parks, three hospital systems, three professional sports teams, major golf tournaments, numerous amateur sporting events, a renowned performing art center, home base of a major restaurant chain and one of the country’s largest supermarket chains, many colleges and universities, high tech industries and defense contractors.
Situated just a few blocks from the courthouse in downtown, our Orlando office efficiently litigates and tries cases on behalf of our clients. This proximity allows our attorneys to establish familiarity with court personnel and obtain the best results for our clients. Since our office was established in 2003, we have built a reputation for defending our clients with passion and purpose. Moreover, our team of talented and diverse attorneys are known across the board by the courts for their level of preparation, attention to detail and professionalism.
The office’s largest practice is its Casualty Department, headed by shareholder Tom Brown. Tom’s team of attorneys has distinguished itself locally and statewide with their expertise in rideshare, retail, amusement/recreation litigation and high-exposure negligent security cases.
The Orlando office is also home to a growing and busy health care defense team headed by me. I also serve as the office’s managing attorney. Our health care group represents a major hospital system with the only Level I trauma center in the Central Florida area, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, mental health institutions and many other forms of health care practices. Apart from litigation issues, these dedicated and highly experienced attorneys also defend doctors, nurses and pharmacists in administrative proceedings.
Over the last several years, our office has also seen tremendous growth in its first party coverage and PIP practice groups. In fact, the office has expanded by 25% over the last several years, reflecting the pace of the population growth in Central Florida.
Like the city itself, our Orlando office is vibrant and full of energy. We are poised to represent both existing and new clients with the highest degree of professional skill now and in the future.
