THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
On Saturday, March 22, Christopher Conrad (Harrisburg, PA), co-chair of our Special Education Law Practice Group, participated in a Wills for Heroes event sponsored by the Pennsylvania and Cumberland County Bar Associations at the Good Hope Fire Station in Mechanicsburg. Chris, along with several other volunteer attorneys and Dickinson Law students, provided more than 45 first responders, military veterans and their spouses with free basic estate planning documents, including wills, durable financial powers of attorney and health care powers of attorney/living wills.
Rachel Insalaco’s (Scranton, PA) article “Let the Sunshine In: Exploring the Impact of Pennsylvania’s Sunshine Act on School Board Decision-Making” was published in the September issue of Counterpoint. This article explores the Sunshine Act and its potential consequences on governmental policy making entities and the procedures that they follow as a result of the effects of the Sunshine Act. You can read Rachel’s article here.
On February 11, Rachel Insalaco (Scranton, PA) co-presented “Special Education Law: The Ultimate Guide” at a National Business Institute CLE. Rachel’s presentation addressed bullying and/or harassment involving students with special needs.
