Twenty-five Marshall Dennehey Attorneys Selected to the 2020 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America®: John Ninosky is “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation in Harrisburg; Daniel Deitrick Makes List for Workers’ Compensation Litigation

Marshall Dennehey is proud to announce that 25 attorneys from offices across the firm have been selected to the 2020 Edition of the Best Lawyers in America®. Among those attorneys, John Ninosky, shareholder in our Harrisburg office, was selected “Lawyer of the Year” for Defendants’ Personal Injury Litigation in Harrisburg, and Daniel Deitrick, shareholder in our Pittsburgh office, was selected a Best Lawyer for the first time in the practice area of Workers’ Compensation Litigation.

Since first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation. In 2009, Best Lawyers began designating "Lawyers of the Year" in high-profile legal practice areas. Only a single lawyer in each legal practice specialty per designated metropolitan area is selected, based on voting averages received during peer-review assessments. The designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.

Lawyer of the Year: John Ninosky, a member of the Health Care  Department, is highly experienced in medical malpractice as well as general liability matters involving personal injury litigation. He has successfully tried dozens of cases to verdict in all of Pennsylvania's federal courts and in 11 county courts of common pleas. He is accomplished in methods of alternative dispute resolution and he regularly conducts arbitrations and mediations throughout Pennsylvania.

Active in the legal and civic communities, he is a member of the Dauphin and Cumberland County Bar associations, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the Defense Research Institute and the St. Thomas More Society. Mr. Ninosky is an honors graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Dickinson School of Law. In addition to being licensed in all of Pennsylvania's federal courts, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Selected to Best Lawyers for the first time: Daniel Deitrick devotes his practice to the defense of workers' compensation and federal black lung matters. Over the course of his 25-year career he has represented sports manufacturing companies, trucking companies, hospitals, nursing homes, school districts, vehicle manufacturers, mines, hotels and more in the defense of workers’ compensation claims.

He is rated AV Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®, which is the highest rating for professional competence of attorneys. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, and the Pittsburgh Claims Association. Mr. Deitrick is a graduate of Villanova University and Duquesne University School of Law.
