Ian J. Antonoff

Associate

Ian is a member of the Professional Liability Department.  The focus of his practice is in defending design professionals and contractors in construction defect actions involving claims ranging from water infiltration to overall design and structural issues.  These large and complex matters generally involve multiple parties and include allegations of existing code violations, negligence, breach of contract and fraud.  Claims relating to insurance coverage under GL policies and issues involving contractual indemnification are often a component of these cases as well.  Ian also defends contractors in connection with personal injury claims resulting from construction site accidents.

In addition to the defense of construction related claims, Ian is experienced in representing building owners, tenants and corporations in premises liability matters, restaurants and bars in dram shop claims, and companies and drivers in motor vehicle actions.

In 1997 Ian graduated from Montclair State University. He then went on to earn his juris doctor in 2006 from Seton Hall University School of Law. While at Seton Hall, Ian was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and also served on the Appellate Advocacy and Interscholastic Moot Court Boards.  Following law school, Ian worked for a New Jersey-based law firm focused on litigation and insurance defense.  Ian is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
