Attorneys successfully obtained summary judgment.  The Plaintiff alleged that her daughter had systematically stolen money from her bank account and annuity.  Three years after discovering the thefts, Plaintiff filed a Complaint against the bank, the annuity company, and our client, the individual who sold Plaintiff the annuity.  Plaintiff's sole theory of liability against all three defendants was negligence.  We argued that Plaintiff's claims were barred by the 2 year statute of limitations for negligence and that Plaintiff's belated attempts to assert a breach of contract claim were also time-barred.  The judge agreed with our position and dismissed the Complaint with prejudice.
