Attorneys obtained a defense verdict following a two and one half week medical malpractice trial on behalf of an Emergency Room physician. Defendant was alleged to have failed to properly treat Plaintiff, who was brought to the ER with a laceration of her leg. Plaintiff returned to the ER the following day in septic shock and claimed at trial that this condition eventually caused her death some two and a half years later. Defense expert witnesses were extraordinarily strong and the jury deliberated for less than two hours before returning a defense verdict.
