Attorneys obtained a defense verdict in a binding high/low ADR in which we represented an emergency room physician who treated the plaintiff for approximately 10 hours in the ER for complaints of diarrhea, vomiting and fever before having the patient admitted.  He was found to have a C-diff infection from which he died several days later from toxic megacolon.  Plaintiff alleged that our client failed to properly manage fluids, initiate antibiotic therapy and order a surgical consult since there was evidence of a silent bowel. Surprisingly, plaintiff agreed to a zero "low."
