Martin S. Coleman Elected Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge

Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin shareholder, Martin S. Coleman, was elected as a Municipal Court Judge of Philadelphia in yesterday's general election. Mr. Coleman will begin serving a six-year term in January, 2014.

Mr. Coleman joined Marshall Dennehey in 2008, focusing his practice first on workers' compensation matters before transitioning to employment litigation and civil rights matters. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Coleman has handled approximately 500 workers' compensation cases in Pennsylvania, with a high track record of defense verdicts for those cases that went to trial. In the realm of employment litigation, he has defended claims before the EEOC and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

A graduate of Widener University School of Law and Providence College, he has been active in numerous bar and legal organizations including the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, and the Pennsylvania Self Insurers' Association. Mr. Coleman's father, Robert, now retired, is a former name partner and leader of the firm.
