Joseph Rava Joins Marshall Dennehey in Westchester County

Marshall Dennehey announced today that Joseph J. Rava, a veteran of the insurance and defense litigation industries, has joined the firm's Westchester County office as a shareholder in the Casualty Department. Previously, he was regional house counsel for Harleysville/Nationwide Insurance, where he focused on attorney recruitment and development, and the defense of claims in New York Labor Law matters.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rava has handled a wide array of complex casualty liability matters. His experience includes years as a name partner at a New York based insurance defense firm where he defended clients in product liability, automotive liability and commercial general liability matters. He is additionally experienced in professional malpractice, construction site actions, insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance arbitrations.

Mr. Rava is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the George Washington University Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.
