Five Marshall Dennehey Attorneys to Serve as Faculty at the CLM's 2016 Claims College

Attorneys James H. Cole, Andrew W. Davitt, Eric A. Fitzgerald, Edward J. McGinn, Jr. and Matthew S. Schorr, all shareholders at civil defense litigation firm Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, will serve as faculty at the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance's (CLM) 2016 Claims College, to be held September 7 - 10 at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront in Maryland. The Claims College is an educational experience designed to help educate and grow industry claims professionals and the industry. Each school within the college is comprised of three levels and participants who successfully complete all levels in a particular school receive a CLM designation reflecting their education and commitment to the profession.

James H. Cole, chair of Marshall Dennehey's Property Litigation Practice Group and co-chair of the firm's Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Group, will teach two classes within the School of Property: Coverage Level II and Good Faith Claims Handling Level III. Mr. Cole is resident in the firm's Philadelphia office and focuses his practice on the investigation and litigation of SIU and property damage claims, including arson, mold and automobile thefts. Within these areas, he is experienced in bad faith and coverage issues inherent to first party/SIU investigations and litigation.

Andrew W. Davitt, chair of Marshall Dennehey's Securities and Investment Professional Liability Practice Group, will present to the School of Professional Lines, teaching Roles Within Professional Lines, Level I. Resident in Marshall Dennehey's Philadelphia office, he and his group members represent the interests of FINRA member broker-dealers, registered representatives, certified financial planners, RIAs, insurance agents and brokers and other securities and insurance industry professionals throughout the United States.

Eric A. Fitzgerald, CPCU, CLU, will address the College's School of Extra-Contractual Claims, teaching Extra Contractual Claims and the Duty to Defend, Level I. As assistant director of the firm's Professional Liability Department, he helps oversee the Department's 16 practice groups and approximately 150 attorneys. He also serves as chair of the firm's Insurance Coverage/Bad Faith Litigation Practice Group, which includes over 20 attorneys exclusively devoted to the counsel and litigation of insurance coverage disputes. He is located in the firm's Philadelphia office.

Edward J. McGinn, Jr., chair of Marshall Dennehey's Construction Injury Litigation Practice Group, will address the College's School of Casualty Claims, teaching Claims Evaluations, Level I. Resident in the firm's King of Prussia office, Mr. McGinn focuses his practice on construction personal injury litigation. He regularly represents construction management companies, developers, property owners, general contractors and other construction professionals in complex litigation involving catastrophic injury and death, as well as insurance coverage issues and other serious losses. 

Matthew S. Schorr, Assistant Director of Marshall Dennehey's Casualty Department, will speak to the College's School of Property on Coverage – Know Before You Go – Level I. Resident in the firm's Roseland, NJ office, he is responsible for overseeing the firm's largest legal department, comprised of more than 200 lawyers among the firm's 20 offices. He is an experienced litigator with a broad legal background gained from working at specialized firms in New York and New Jersey, where he defended insurance companies, major corporations and individuals in complex litigation within a variety of practice areas. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney.
