Class Action & The Marshall Dennehey Horns To Compete in Law Rocks Philadelphia For the Philadelphia Bar Foundation

Class Action & The Marshall Dennehey Horns, the in-house rock-and-roll band at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, will compete at the 3rd Annual Law Rocks Philadelphia event on October 18 at the World Café Live to raise money for the Philadelphia Bar Foundation. Law Rocks is a global organization that raises funds for local nonprofits by combining the power of music and the generosity of the global legal community. Competing bands select a favorite local nonprofit to rock and fundraise for, and Class Action will play for the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.

"We are ecstatic about the opportunity to compete and perform at Law Rocks Philadelphia on behalf of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation," said shareholder Frank Wickersham, one of the band's founding members. "This is definitely going to be an event to remember – and one to cross off the bucket list," he said.

Class Action was formed more than a decade ago, when Wickersham and attorneys Stephen Ryan, Brad Goewert and Bill Conkin discovered a shared affinity for playing rock and R&B/soul music. What started as a small blend of guitars, vocals, drums and a sax, has since developed into a full-fledged show band with guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and a 4-piece horn section. In 2013, the band competed in the Fortune Battle of the Bands competition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to the early members, Class Action instrumentalists and vocalists include Chris Boyle, Jr., Joseph Hoynoski, III, David Wolf, Howard Dwoskin, Melanie Foreman and Jodi O'Connor.

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation raises money that is distributed to over 35 organizations that provide legal services for those unable to afford them, including The Aids Law Project of Pennsylvania, The Homeless Advocacy Project, The Disabilities Law Project, The Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center, The Senior Law Center, The Support Center for Child Advocates, and more.
