Event Host:
Bar Association of Lehigh County
1114 W. Walnut Steet, Allentown, PA
Wednesday, September 23, 2015 - 12:15pm to 1:15pm

This seminar will review the elements of an informed consent cause of action, under what circumstances expert opinion is necessary to support the claim, and under what circumstances, in light of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s recent decision in Brady v. Urbas, a defendant in a medical negligence case may offer evidence that the plaintiff gave his or her informed consent. Candy, Wendy and Michelle will discuss the implications of Brady v. Urbas and provide suggestions for the successful defense of an informed consent action.
