James H. Cole, a shareholder in our Philadelphia office will be presenting on the topic: "Bad Faith in Property Litigation: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly." This presentation will provide an overview and history of bad faith insurance litigation from a property perspective. Common scenarios and frequently pled allegations will be explored with a focus on “good faith” and liability avoidance. The presentation will additionally focus on the common bad faith “set-ups” in property litigation that every adjuster should be aware of. Presenters will refer to real-life case examples to illustrate tactics plaintiff’s counsel uses -- from the claim’s infancy -- to try and generate a bad faith award.
