Systems Engineer - 3-5 Yrs Experience - Philadelphia, PA

The law firm of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin seeks a Systems Engineer for its Philadelphia, PA office.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the daily operation of the Firm's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Citrix Xenapp, Microsoft 2012/2016 Servers including Hyper-V and Clustering,  McAfee Enterprise Antivirus, Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies, and Dell Desktop Authority environments.  Provide leadership on various projects in working with IT Department team members.  Create documentation, procedures, checklists and project plans as required.  Assist Management by providing recommendations for future projects and budget planning.  This position is full time, based in the Firm's Center City Philadelphia Office, and reports to the Manager of Network Services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide management over the Microsoft SCCM Current Branch and legacy SCCM 2016 environments.  This includes support for application deployments, Windows OS builds, task sequences, UEV, and Work Folders
  • Build and manage the Firm’s Citrix XenApp 7.18 and legacy 6.5 environments
  • Lead team in efforts to analyze and deploy Microsoft critical security updates for Windows Servers
  • Support Microsoft 2012 Active Directory single forest/domain including Group Policies
  • Support Windows 2012/2016 Hyper-V virtualized cluster environment with 200+ virtual machines, including Hyper-V replication. 
  • Administer the McAfee Antivirus Enterprise system including maintaining policies and exceptions.
  • Implement Firm's Azure two factor authentication solution, specifically for the Citrix environment
  • Provide backup support for workstation SCCM patching, DHCP, DNS, SAN storage, Cisco switch LAN environment, Talari SD-WAN network, and circuit issues
  • Ability to provide after hours and weekend support for planned upgrades/maintenance and urgent issues
  • Create, maintain and update accurate technical documentation.  

 

Required Experience:

  • Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policies, McAfee Antivirus, Citrix XenApp, and Windows Servers including Hyper-V and Clustering
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide range of personnel, users and vendors.  This includes working with members of the Applications, Development and Desktop Services group within the IT Department.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel and Visio for purposes of creating relevant documentation.
  • Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs. of electronics/communications equipment as required

 

Preferred but not required experience:

  • Working in a Legal environment
